Ashton and Mommy Tuesday

Tutu, our day care provider, was taking a few personal days and my back up sitter, Aunty Lani, was sick. Adam took off work on Monday and I took Tuesday. I wanted to do something fun with Ashton since the weekends are always full of errands and running around.

We had a blast at the disovery center.

19 weeks with Baby #2

So I can't believe this is the first time I am posting a picture of my ever growing belly. Here are some fun facts:

How far along?
19 weeks
Maternity clothes? Yes, I am wearing maternity pants daily with regular and maternity shirts
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Okay, I guess. I've still never slept though the night since Ashton was born:(
Best moment this week: Having Ashton kiss my belly. He is so sweet.
Movement: I can feel little bumps here and there.
Food cravings: pickles and peanut butter
Gender: I'm not sure. My pregnancy seems the same as it was with Ashton, so I am going with another boy.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? Innie
What I miss: Having a cocktail or two.
What I am looking forward to: Our ultrasound is on Monday.
Weekly Wisdom: Take time for yourself. Between work, Ashton and Adam, I never find time for myself.
Milestones: Making it these 19 weeks:-)

Mothers Day Weekend

What a fun filled weekend! On Friday night, Ashton stayed with Tutu so that Adam and I could attend the "Live like Sion" benefit. My favorite, Jack Johnson was the star of the night and gave a awesome performance. Ashton did great at Tutu's when we finally picked him up around 10:00 pm that night.

On Saturday morning we got up at 4:30 am to participate in our first 5K. Boy were we tired. Adam did great! I didn't want to over do it since I am now 18 weeks pregnant, but I finished!

Finally, after a long, long morning, we caught a flight to Kona to spend the night at the Waikaloa Hilton. Two years ago on Mothers Day weekend Ashton was still baking (I think I was around 24 weeks along)when we spent the weekend at the Waikaloa. Adam thinks we should make this a mothers day tradition.
While the weather was not the best on Saturday, we still swam in the pool, rode the boat, the train and enjoyed the resort. After we played around all afternoon, it was time for dinner at Ruth's Chris. **note to self - not a place for a toddler** Needless to say, we lasted maybe 2 minutes before asking to be seated outside ALONE.

We work up early Sunday morning and I was surprised with a massage at the spa! Boy was that nice surprise!!

I am so blessed to have these two wonderful boys in my life. I love being a mom more than I could have ever imagined and I am even more thankful for my mother raising me in a loving home. She has taught me more than she will ever know. I can only hope that I can be the type of mother she is to my own children.

Fun with Alexa

My friend Malia and her family were visiting from DC this past week and we were fortunate enough that we were able to meet up for an hour or so at Moanalua Gardens. We had never been there before and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the park was. It would be perfect for family picnic.

Alexa and Ashton sure did enjoy themselves. It took a little time for them to warm up to each other, but as you can see from the photos, they didn't hold back. Alexa is adorable!

Happy Easter!

What a wonderful day we had! First the Easter Bunny came to visit Ashton this morning.

We went to church this morning (for the first time since Ashton's been baptized) at New Hope Oahu. They have a really nice day care for the kids while the parents attend the service. When you drop off your child, you are given a number so that if there is an issue during the service the assigned number will flash across the screen. We almost made it the entire hour when Adam noticed that our number was now flashing across the screen. He was crying and wouldn't calm down. I give Ashton credit..new place and new people. He did awesome!

After church, we came home for Ashton to nap and for me to attempt my first ever quiche. We then headed over to the Britt family's home for Easter brunch. It was so nice to have our Hawaii Ohana there to spend the day with.

Ashton had his very own Easter egg hunt, he made his very first colored egg and got lots of hugs and kisses from all his aunties.

Fun at Iolani Fair!

What a great time we had. I waited in line for a famous KC Waffle Dog for over 45 minutes while Daddy and Ashton had fun walking around.

Ashton had fun dancing, spinning, playing games, eating ice cream and looking at all the other kids running around screaming. It really is the best to see life though his eyes.

Ashton had his first face full of dirt...he was spinning and dancing when he lost his balance and face planted. Poor thing looked up at me with a mouth full of black dirt...of course I couldn't help but laugh when he started laughing at himself.
