Potty Time

Ashton is really starting to warm up to the idea of using the potty. The other night, once we had finished our bath, he sat on his potty and pee-peed!! He did it again later that evening.

Last night, we went again before his bath. This time he stood up to the potty, hands were against the wall and he peed! It was hilarious!

This morning, he woke up with a dry diaper and I ask him if he wanted to try to go potty. Again, he stood up with this hands against the wall so he could balance himself and he peed!

Of course, I think he really enjoys the gross part of pouring the waste in the toilet and rinsing it. Oh well, at least he is showing some interest in the idea.

For now, it's just fun for him and I'm letting him get use to the idea.

Here is the big cheese after I had cheered him on!

We Love Ice Cream!!

Last night we went to dinner at Auntie Pasto's..yum! After dinner I wanted ice cream so off to Baskin Robins we went. Ashton has had licks here and there, but last night he went all in....their was chocolate ice cream all over him! We were suppose to stop at Home Depot on the way home, but Ashton was way too messy! Check out these photos of him enjoying Mommy and Daddy's ice cream.

Happy Fathers Day Weekend

We had a great weekend! Yesterday, I took Ashton to Gymboree Play and Learn for a trial class...he was more interetsted in running around than joining in the group activity. After Gymboree we headed to The Willows for lunch with Adam. After a short nap, Ashton, Adam and I played with water ballons, grilled some steaks, lobster, shrimp and corn! YUMMY! Ashton loves, loves steak. After dinner we took a long walk to McDonalds for ice cream (so much or walking off the dinner calories)!

On Sunday, Ashton and I woke up early to make Adam breakfast (bacon, eggs, toast and fruit) and then we all headed to the Willows so Adam could work a bit this morning (poor guy never gets a day off). After that we took a long walk to the pool and hung there for about an hour. Too bad I didn't get to take any pictures.

Ashton gave Adam a photo with D-A-D photos, the tool pouch and tool carrier.

Look at Ashton this year:

Honolulu Zoo

Fun day at the zoo! Ashton loved the turtles, elephants and of course the playground! I was pretty impressed that Ashton walked most the way through the zoo (we forgot the stoller. Needless to say he was tired when we left.

Memorial Day at Ko'olina!

I knew the Ko'olina lagoons would be packed (parking is terrible here) so we left bright and early to get a spot. We got lucky for finding one on the first try. Ashton had fun watching the other kids splash around, playing on his surfboard, watching the fish and turtles and of course hanging out with mommy and daddy! I wish we could do this all the time.
