Fun at the Fair!

It is so much fun to see the excitment on Ashton's face when we have the opportunity to let him experience new adventures, like today at the fair.

Fun Day at Ko'Olina with Mommy

I finally took Ashton to the beach alone. I have been dreading the day since we always have a ton of stuff and I didn't see how I could do it without Adam. I made my mind up that we'd only spend 2 hours max so that made packing much easier. Just our beach bag with some towels, a few pails/shovels, my phone, car keys, point and shoot camera and a change of clothes. I also brought a small soft cooler with some water and a few snacks and of course I needed my beach chair. I handled it all, with Ashton is tow, in one quick trip.

Ashton and I had fun playing along with shoreline making sandcastles and splashing each other.

Ashton and Mommy Tuesday

Tutu, our day care provider, was taking a few personal days and my back up sitter, Aunty Lani, was sick. Adam took off work on Monday and I took Tuesday. I wanted to do something fun with Ashton since the weekends are always full of errands and running around.

We had a blast at the disovery center.

Mothers Day Weekend

What a fun filled weekend! On Friday night, Ashton stayed with Tutu so that Adam and I could attend the "Live like Sion" benefit. My favorite, Jack Johnson was the star of the night and gave a awesome performance. Ashton did great at Tutu's when we finally picked him up around 10:00 pm that night.

On Saturday morning we got up at 4:30 am to participate in our first 5K. Boy were we tired. Adam did great! I didn't want to over do it since I am now 18 weeks pregnant, but I finished!

Finally, after a long, long morning, we caught a flight to Kona to spend the night at the Waikaloa Hilton. Two years ago on Mothers Day weekend Ashton was still baking (I think I was around 24 weeks along)when we spent the weekend at the Waikaloa. Adam thinks we should make this a mothers day tradition.
While the weather was not the best on Saturday, we still swam in the pool, rode the boat, the train and enjoyed the resort. After we played around all afternoon, it was time for dinner at Ruth's Chris. **note to self - not a place for a toddler** Needless to say, we lasted maybe 2 minutes before asking to be seated outside ALONE.

We work up early Sunday morning and I was surprised with a massage at the spa! Boy was that nice surprise!!

I am so blessed to have these two wonderful boys in my life. I love being a mom more than I could have ever imagined and I am even more thankful for my mother raising me in a loving home. She has taught me more than she will ever know. I can only hope that I can be the type of mother she is to my own children.

Fun with Alexa

My friend Malia and her family were visiting from DC this past week and we were fortunate enough that we were able to meet up for an hour or so at Moanalua Gardens. We had never been there before and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the park was. It would be perfect for family picnic.

Alexa and Ashton sure did enjoy themselves. It took a little time for them to warm up to each other, but as you can see from the photos, they didn't hold back. Alexa is adorable!
