We first met Cade when he was just a little over a month old and so it was quite a surprise when Cade came over with his Daddy to say "hi" to Adam since Adam has been down and out (Adam strained his back and has been out of commission since Friday). Cade sure is a cutie!! And boy is he strong! Cade will be 4 months old on the 5th but he has the strength of a 6 month old or older! He is such a sweet boy too:-)

Score!!
I have been trying to decide which step walker to get Ashton. I had been eyeing a few but hated the idea of paying over $40 for something he may not like.
Lookie what I got today for $10 at Toys R Us!! Yes, it was on sale for $15 and I found a random coupon in Sunday's paper for $5 off....SCORE! (they also had BOGO free v-tech infant toys and little tykes BOGO free)
He didn't really know what to think of sitting on the rider but he came around. He's still a bit too young, but I am such a kid when it comes to playing with his new toys!
'Hey...what's this thing?!'

First fever:-(
Ashton woke up Sat. morning with a fever (101.9). I had suspected he had one in the middle of the night so I had given him some Tylenol to help bring it down. Poor baby slept all day. He actually feel asleep (on his own) laying on the couch next to Adam.
He vomited a few times and the way he would scream out makes me suspect he had some kind of stomach bug.
I stayed home with him today just in case he was not 100% better. To help make him feel better we went shopping!! Of course I had to get Ashton a few toys to help make him feel better. He loved sitting in the wagon and eating all the boxes of toys I tried to show him.
Today Ashton has his first Baby mum-mum (rice cracker that melts in your mouth) and he really liked it. I was so nervous of him chocking that I kept taking the mum-mum away from him . Here is a quick video of Ashton trying his first mum-mum:

Weekend at the beach
We had a wonderful weekend. It was the first that we've been able to actually spend some time together. Adam has been working way too much!
Ashton was not a huge fan of the water. There were times he tolerated it (when daddy was swimming him around) but I think the water was a little too cold for him. I was cold, so I know he had to be. It was nice to finally relax and enjoy the reason we live Hawaii:-)
Here are a few photos from our beach days.

We tried pears
And they are just okay. Tutu, Ashton's daycare provider, says that he eats everything she offers him. Maybe he is a morning eater.
Here is a quick video of his first pears.

He finally put himself to sleep...
without me rocking him or nursing him to sleep. We lay in bed and talked a while and then he kept wanting to eat my fingers so I gave him his keys to play with. He played with those for about ten minutes and then he went still.....he was asleep!!! Total time was about 30 minutes from the time we cuddled in bed until the time he feel sleep.
I know it probably won't happen tomorrow or even the next day, but it is the first time ever! Yay Ashton!!
