What a fun filled weekend! On Friday night, Ashton stayed with Tutu so that Adam and I could attend the "Live like Sion" benefit. My favorite, Jack Johnson was the star of the night and gave a awesome performance. Ashton did great at Tutu's when we finally picked him up around 10:00 pm that night.
On Saturday morning we got up at 4:30 am to participate in our first 5K. Boy were we tired. Adam did great! I didn't want to over do it since I am now 18 weeks pregnant, but I finished!
Finally, after a long, long morning, we caught a flight to Kona to spend the night at the Waikaloa Hilton. Two years ago on Mothers Day weekend Ashton was still baking (I think I was around 24 weeks along)when we spent the weekend at the Waikaloa. Adam thinks we should make this a mothers day tradition.
While the weather was not the best on Saturday, we still swam in the pool, rode the boat, the train and enjoyed the resort. After we played around all afternoon, it was time for dinner at Ruth's Chris. **note to self - not a place for a toddler** Needless to say, we lasted maybe 2 minutes before asking to be seated outside ALONE.
We work up early Sunday morning and I was surprised with a massage at the spa! Boy was that nice surprise!!
I am so blessed to have these two wonderful boys in my life. I love being a mom more than I could have ever imagined and I am even more thankful for my mother raising me in a loving home. She has taught me more than she will ever know. I can only hope that I can be the type of mother she is to my own children.
