Sunday Funday!

Ashton had a blast finger painting! And to be honest, I was surprised how easy it was to clean up. At first Ashton didn't know what to think about all the paint I put on his hand...he soon figured it out. I can't wait to frame his beautiful masterpieces!

Chuck E Cheese

How funny is he:

35th Buffalo’s Big Board Surfing Classic: Makaha

We enjoyed the day with Amy and her family once again. What a day full of kickball, football, swimming and a surf contest. Great, great day!

Who's 18 months?!?

I just can't believe that my main man is 18 months old! Since he was such a trooper for his 18 month shots, we took him to Chuck E. Cheese for the very first time. The kid loved his pizza and all the rides and games. I think Adam and I had a little too much fun as well!

Here are some stats:

~26 lbs
~Size 4 diaper
~Eating is hit or miss. He loves his veggie straws, fruit and veggies. He doesn't care for meat or bread.
~Talking a ton, but not much that I can understand. He still says ball, mom, dad, dog, board, balloon, airplane, bottle (sippy cup) and a few others that are slipping my mind. I think I am the only one who understands him:-)
~The kid loves to take a bath and loves to swim in the tub.
~Loves to go on walks but hates to hold your hand.
~BOOKS, BOOKS and more BOOKS! The kid loves to read. He has gotten to the point now that he turns the pages before he let's you finish the sentence. I guess he'd rather see the photos.
~Is getting pretty good at temper tantrums. The kid is drama, drama.
~Makua is his best friend. So many people didn't want us to keep Makua since he was a pit bull and the bad rap they get with kids. But Makua is such a trooper with Ashton. They really love each other.
~Is still sleeping in bed with us. We took the side off of the crib and side carted it to our bed. He still won't sleep in it. I think he just has issues with the crib.

Happy Valentine's Day

We were lucky to spend Valentines Day with Nana, Amy Mitchell-Doerzback and her beautiful family, Johnny, Auntie Phyllis and Uncle Bob. We enjoyed dinner, sunset and yummy desert with some wonderful people in the very unique Bamboo House in Makaha

Nana comes for a visit.

Ashton had lots of fun with Nana while I was out of town for a work conference in Atlanta. They didn't remember to take lots of pictures. Ashton had his first fun day at the water park, dinner at Ko'olina and lots of walks around the neighborhood.

Ashton loves to welcome his family to Hawaii with a Lei and a kiss.

Fun time with Nana and Daddy while Mommy was working.

Family dinner at Chucks Steakhouse.

Leaving Ashton for those 7 days was the hardest thing I've had to do. I cried like a baby when they dropped me off at the airport. I didn't want Ashton to think I wasn't coming back or I had abandoned him. Of course, I always think the worse case senerio. In the end, I was so busy in Atlanta that I didn't have much time to think of how much I missed him and he was busy planning with Nana and Daddy. Overall, it wasn't as bad as I had imagined.
