Boy have we been sick! Ashton woke up on Thursday morning around 3:30 am and vomited. This lasted on and off for the next several hours, then the fever kicked in and he still has it.
I woke up on Saturday morning at 3:30 am and vomited which also lasted for several hours.
Since I was feeling really weak and couldn't keep anything down we decided we needed to head to the ER, not only for me and the baby but for Ashton as well. He was still not eating or drinking well. While I was admitted to L&D, Adam took Ashton to the ER to have some test run to see if he needed any fluids. They took his temp (102.1), stool sample and some urine. As for me, I was having contractions, a slight fever and was really dehydrated. After 2 busted veins, I was given 2 bags on fluid, a shot to help with my nausea and observed for several hours. After the fluids and shot, I felt much better!!! I asked to be discharged so that I could get some rest in my own bed.
The Dr. called last night with Ashton's test results and said his urine showed he was slightly dehydrated and if he didn't drink more in the next few hours or the next day, that he would need to have some fluids. Ashton seems to be in better spirits today but still sluggish, but I think he'll be okay. He is my strong little man!

More....fun times in Waimanalo
Horseback Riding
We are lucky enough to have friends that own a few horses in Waimanalo that invited us over to a party yesterday. Ashton warmed up to the horses right away and was eager to ride one. I really thought he would be scared the mintue we put him on Ala, but he surprised me. He was a natural! He loved it. He would pet the horse with one hand while he was riding. It was too cute. He even gave the horse a kiss when it was time to leave.

Week 28
I know, I am bending my knees and it looks awkward! I didn't have a choice, I kept cutting my head off and I had to leave to pick up Ashton from daycare. Needless to say, you get the point...I am pregnant and have a huge belly. I've already gotten, "Are you sure you aren't having twins?!" Really people...where is your filter for crying out loud! Keep in mind, the people who make these comments are men...without kids!
How far along? 28 weeks
Maternity clothes? Yes, I am wearing maternity pants daily with regular and maternity shirts
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: It's been okay, I am tossing and turning more these days. Ashton kicking me in the middle of the night is not helping.
Best moment this week: Feeling the babe move (those slow, you know it's an arm move).
Movement: Always...but I don't feel they are not as strong as they were with Ashton. I guess that explains why Ashton is 'all boy' as the daycare lady says.
Food cravings: Nothing really
Gender: Not sure. I feel exactly the same I did with Asthon. The only difference is that I don't have a Linea Nigra like I did with Asthon.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? Innie
What I miss: Nothing. I am really trying to take in the pregnancy.
What I am looking forward to: Sesame street with Asthon today.
Weekly Wisdom: Try to enjoy each day
Milestones: Making it these 28 weeks:-)

Teeth
Sunday Funday!
This morning we headed down to our favorite playgroup at Barbers Point Elementary School. This is the same play group that we had our maternity photos taken with Ashton. Here are some fun photos from today.
Since we were not far, we decided to try out the Naval Air Museum at Barbers Point. Not every piece of equipment was available for viewing but Ashton had fun. It would have been nice to have someone tell us the history of each of the planes/helicopters. When we were leaving, we did find that out the first helicopter we viewed had been used in Vietnam, Desert Storm, carried President Clinton, and had been shot down at one point and had been rebuilt.

Happy 4th of July!
We spent the afternoon at Scholfield Barracks enjoying food, people watching, running around in circles and of course the fireworks. It did start to rain so we headed back to the truck to watch them. Good thing we did, we missed all the traffic. Ashton did fairly well with the fireworks. He was scared of the noise but amazed at the sight.
Cabana Beach Day
What better way to celebrate the 4th of July weekend than heading to the beach we love! Makaha Beach Cabanas - going back made me really miss living there! We had a fun day with Kate, Dave, Riis & Kristin. Riis is growing oh so fast! Ashton was proving that he is going to be a good big brother. He was gentle with Riis and they played together at the water table.
